I'm pretty sure that all of us have heard that Joss Whedon is planning on using the brother/sister duo Pietro Maximoff/Quicksilver and Wanda Maximoff/Scarlett Witch. It looks like a good idea on paper, but when you think about it, it's a HORRIBLE idea. Here's why.
- 20'th Century Fox is already using Quicksilver in X-Men: Days of Future Past, played by Evan Peters.
- Fox isn't letting Marvel have Pietro or Wanda be mutants, not refer to them as Magneto's children, so basically Fox is forcing Marvel to completley butcher the characters to the point that they should be called "Fast Guy" and "Cosmic Woman".
- They have so many other characters they could use, such as Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Ant-Man. Doctor Strange, Wasp, Black Panther, etc. And they just got the rights to Daredevil, Punisher, Blade, and Ghost Rider back and they could try their luck with those characters!
- I'm not sure if this is true or not, but I've heard rumors that Fox won't let Pietro and Wanda be called Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch, just Pietro and Wanda.
If Joss Whedon goes through with using Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch, I have a bad feeling that it will ruin The Avengers 2. And if that's what happens I'm gonna be MAD!!!!! >:( You here that Joss? Drop Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch and put in someone else!
