• The film had its world-wide premiere on Sunday, June 8th, at Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, CA. It was attended by director Louis Leterrier; cast members Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, Tim Roth, Tim Blake Nelson, Ty Burrell, Christina Cabot, Peter Mensah, Lou Ferrigno and William Hurt; producers Avi Arad, Gale Anne Hurd, Kevin Feige; screenwriter Zak Penn; and executive producers Stan Lee, David Maisel and Jim Van Wyck.^[1]

• The film made USD $55.4 million in 3,505 theaters on its opening weekend, easily winning the top spot at the US box office over Father's Day weekend.^[2] Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, released on the same weekend in 2007 made USD $58 million in 3,959 theaters.^[3] By comparison, 2003's Hulk made USD $62.1 million in 3,660 theaters on its opening weekend ^[4].
