Appeared in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The Hub is a secret base formerly run by S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Victoria Hand

History

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

"The Hub"

After delivering a piece of intel gathered by agent Shaw, agent Phil Coulson and his team learned of the existence of a dangerous piece of technology called the Overkill Device located in South Ossetia. Agent Victoria Hand, the agent in charge of The Hub's operations, assigned agents Grant Ward and Leo Fitz on a mission to disable the Overkill Device before South Ossetian separatist had a chance to use it.

"End of the Beginning"

Agent Hand was called to the Bus by Coulson from the Helicarrier along with agents Jasper Sitwell and Felix Blake. After the Bus' takeoff she was briefed on the mission, by Coulson, John Garrett, and Antoine Triplett. She expressed her doubts about the true abilities of the Clairvoyant to no avail. She left the plane after the briefing to return to the Hub to run back-end support for the mission.

"Turn, Turn, Turn"

During HYDRA's infiltration of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Hub saw conflict between Coulson's team and Agent Hand after she mistakenly assumed them to be serving HYDRA, with them assuming the same of her. This brief conflict eventually lead to the revelation that John Garrett was actually the Clairvoyant, and also an agent of HYDRA. Hand had in fact discovered the existence of HYDRA prior to the uprising, and managed to turn the tables on the elements of HYDRA assigned to take the Hub, rendering it one of the few S.H.I.E.L.D. facilities that was safe from HYDRA.

"Providence"

Phil Coulson assumed command of the Hub while Agent Hand was en route to the Fridge. Coulson was contacted by Colonel Glenn Talbot of the United States Armed Forces, who announced their intention to visit the Hub with a peacekeeping force. Given that "peacekeeping" meant months of legal problems at best and assassination at worst, Coulson decided to depart with his team, suggesting that any other S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents at the Hub do the same.
