• Spider-Man, Wolverine, Fantastic Four, Vision and Deathlok are all rumored to appear in this film.

Story

• Joss Whedon has said that The Avengers 2 will be like Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back and not have a happy ending. ^[16]
• Avengers Tower will appear in the film and it be based on The Metlife building. ^[17]
• DEBUNKED: Hulk will be launched into space for actions occurring in the movie and in the next movie he will return and the battle will end up following the World War Hulk story line.
• Hawkeye might die in this film.
• There is a possibility that it might be set before Guardians of the Galaxy (despite being released after), as Internet Movie Database's summary talks as if Thanos picks up where he left off in The Avengers and fights the Avengers the first thing after arriving on Earth, with no mention to having fought the Guardians of the Galaxy (as he is confirmed as antagonist in it as well).
• Thanos may not be the villain as he is on a quest for the 6 Infinity Stones of the Infinity Gauntlet.^[18]
• Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch will be villians going against the team and will not be call by those name due the rights. ^[19][20]
