Steven "Steve" Rogers was the only successful test subject of the Super Soldier Serum developed by Abraham Erskine during World War II. He was given the name Captain America. Rogers was frozen for 60 years and was brought out and becomes the leader of the Avengers.

A long time ago, Captain America and the Avengers were all called on a mission to defeat Ultron once again. This time, Ultron proved too powerful for the Avengers, and killed them all, one by one (except Tony Stark).
Later, Ultron mentioned that the first avenger he killed was the Captain.
