When the mutants Thunderbird and Blink went looking for Erg they found their way into a sewer and John used his tracking powers to make their way and managed to realize that someone was trying to get them lost. They discovered one of the walls is an illusion and walked through were they came into contact with Erg and the Morlocks. Impressed by Clarice powers Erg decided to talk with her alone and after an attempt to convince Blink to join them agreed to help her and John stop the Hellfire Club in exchange for her assistance to which she agreed.
