Mary Parker was the mother of Peter Parker. She and her husband, Richard, disappeared for unknown reasons when Peter was young.

The Amazing Spider-Man

Richard and Mary say goodbye to their 4-year old son Peter, after finding Richard's office broken into and trashed. They drop Peter off at Richard's brother's house. When Peter asked why they were leaving, Richard answers that it was something they had to do. They then leave, with Peter watching.
