Behind the scenes[]
- Kurt is portrayed by David Dastmalchian, who is from Kansas City, KS, the same city as Paul Rudd. However, Paul Rudd was very convinced by Dastmalchian's Russian accent and was surprised to find out that the two were from the same city and had even worked at the same mall in their teenage years.[1]
- Dastmalchian revealed Kurt's surname on Twitter, named for his friend Isidora Goreshter who helped him with his dialect.

- In Ant-Man and the Wasp, Kurt references the Baba Yaga. The Baba Yaga is a figure in Russian folklore that is a witch.[2]
- David Dastmalchian is featured in the very end of the Ant-Man and the Wasp soundtrack by Christophe Beck. The track is titled "Baba Yaga Lullaby" referencing the Russian creature that Kurt had mentioned earlier in the film.[3]
