Biography[]

X-Men: Days of Future Past[]

Toad was one of a few mutant soldiers serving in Vietnam, others being Havok, Ink and another mutant soldier. Originally, William Stryker was going to have him be sent to Trask Industries so he could be experimented on as part of Bolivar Trask's Sentinel program, but Mystique, who was disguising herself as a colonel, prevented Toad and the others from being taken, and he helped her fight Stryker and the other soldiers. He was then transported back home with the help of Mystique.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine[]

After Vietnam, Toad was captured by William Stryker for experimental purposes and was held in Stryker's facility in a cell with other mutants with his tongue out of his mouth. He was among Cyclops, Emma, Quicksilver and several others. He was rescued by Wolverine and Kayla Silverfox. He later escaped the island with the help of Professor X.

X-Men[]

"Don't you people ever die?!"
―Toad [src]

Toad was recruited by Magneto and joined his team as an early member of Magneto's Brotherhood of mutants. Toad painted the replacement torch for the Statue of Liberty on Genosha when Sabretooth returned empty handed.

Later, Toad participated in the attack on Westchester Train Station where he stole Cyclops' visor and caused an optic blast to bring down the roof.

Later, Toad took out guards on Liberty Island and attacked the X-Men as they tried to stop Magneto from fulfilling his plans. Toad even got the upper hand, flinging Storm and kicking Cyclops away. Even when he took on Jean who suspended him in the air with her telekinesis, he spat slime on her face which hardened and began suffocating her. He returned to face Storm once more, but was killed when she used her power to strike him with lightning.
