Character traits[]

Initially, Evan was short-tempered, hot-headed, stubborn, rebellious and immature. Despite this, he was a kind, caring and fearless individual with a sense of humour.

Although Evan enjoyed being a member of X-Men, he was sometimes selfish towards others, as well as being laid-back and irresponsible.

Even during Evan's time as a member of the X-Men, he didn't want any special treatment from anyone at the Xavier Institute, just because Ororo Munroe is his aunt.

After the existence of mutants were exposed to the public, Evan became far more short-tempered and hot-headed to the point of being hostile, as he was enraged and disgusted by how badly mutants are being treated by humans; due to their mutation or destructive capabilities, regardless whether or not they had harmed any humans.

After joining the Morlocks, Evan greatly matured and has almost complete control over his temper. He also has a sense of justice and won't hesitate to defend the Morlocks from human oppressors who have tried to assault him or his fellow mutants.

  • Evan's lack of popularity caused him to be written out until the end, allowing Bobby to take his place on the team, as it was originally intended.
  • Evan was a unique character that was believed to be inspired by the character Marrow, who also possessed bone-based powers, which was completely unintentional.
