Peter Maximoff, also known as Quicksilver, is a mutant, who possesses superhuman durability, speed, agility, reflexes, stamina and accelerated perception.
Peter was held prisoner on Three Mile Island.
Biography[]
Peter was born in the mid 1950s to Erik Lehnsherr and Ms. Maximoff. Growing up, Peter knew little about father other than the fact that he could manipulate metal. Due to his mutant powers of superhuman speed, Peter found himself constantly getting in trouble. Stealing numerous things.
X-Men: Days of Future Past[]
Quicksilver caused World Record scandal after breaking eight records in Track and Field, causing athletic officials to ban mutants from competing in professional sports.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine[]
At some point, he was captured by William Stryker for experimental purposes and was locked up in his mutant testing facility on Three Mile Island. He is tied down via bungee cords to prevent him from building up enough kinetic energy to escape.
As Logan comes and frees all of the incarcerated mutants, he and the others escape with the help of Professor X and his helicopter.
X2: X-Men United[]
Maximoff's name appeared on a list of mutants on Col. Stryker's computer when it was accessed by Mystique.

- Superhuman Speed: Quicksilver is much faster than normal humans. He can move faster than the naked eye can track and possibly many times faster than the speed of sound.
- Superhuman Durability: Quicksilver is far more durable than normal humans. He can survive the impact of his speed; in fact, kinetic energy, inertia, friction, pressure and vectors have absolutely no effect on him.
- Superhuman Agility: Quicksilver is far more agile than normal humans.
- Superhuman Reflexes: Quicksilver's reflexes are much faster than normal humans.

Trivia[]
- The filmmakers Americanized the character's name in an effort to help distinguish him from the Marvel Cinematic Universe incarnation of the character.
- Before the Disney/Fox buyout, Quicksilver could be used by either Marvel Studios or 20th Century Fox providing that the latter didn't mention anything about his allegiance to the Avengers and the former didn't refer to him as a mutant or name him as Magneto's son.
