Dr. Moira MacTaggert is a scientist living in Mutant Research Center on Muir Island, off the coast of Scotland and is the ex-fiancée of Charles Xavier.

The ex-fiancée of Charles Xavier, she left Charles whilst he was in the service, and she became pregnant to another man. Whilst the blow crushed Charles, the two remained great friends.
Moira runs her own mutant research center in Muir Island, Scotland. She set up the center in order to help her son Kevin, a mutant who had the power to alter the reality around him. She hoped that she could teach Kevin to use his powers so that he could later instigate into society without causing pain to others.
