Project Potential Energy Group Alternate Sources United States, or Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S., was a joint venture between S.H.I.E.L.D. and N.A.S.A. that was formed to investigate phenomena beyond the range of conventional scientific understanding.

History[]

Captain Marvel[]

Dr. Wendy Lawson worked on Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S., creating aircrafts and developing the Light-Speed Engine, using the Tesseract as the power source.

Iron Man 2[]

Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S. is alluded to when Tony Stark opens a wooden crate marked "Project Pegasus" in preparation to synthesize a new element.

Fury's Big Week[]

The World Security Council mentions that funding is being redirected from S.H.I.E.L.D. to a new operation, codenamed Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S., in the aims of analyzing the Tesseract.

The Avengers[]

The subterranean Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S. Facility was where the Tesseract was being studied by Erik Selvig. It proceeded to collapse when a portal opened by the Tesseract, from which Loki Laufeyson came from, imploded.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.[]

"Pilot"[]

Skye, while being interrogated, mentioned Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S. when she listed S.H.I.E.L.D.'s cover-ups.

  • In the comics, P.E.G.A.S.U.S. stands for Potential Energy Group/Alternate Sources/United States.
  • In a deleted scene for Iron Man 2, after discovering the new element, Tony Stark instructs J.A.R.V.I.S. to look up information on Projects P.E.G.A.S.U.S., E.X.O.D.U.S. and G.O.L.I.A.T.H. for him.
