James Rogers is the son of Captain America and Black Widow.

Biography[]

Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow[]

James is the son of Captain America and Black Widow. He is first a downer with no training or work. But when he and the Avengers stumble upon the Iron Avengers James accidentally sets off Iron Captain America and the rest of the Iron Avengers. Ultron then pin points the kids' location and comes to attack. He and the Avengers then go to Ultra City to combat Ultron and rescue Tony Stark.

They then meet Hawkye, who later shows them the way to Ultron. In Ultron's room they find artifacts of heroes (including his father's shield). Hawkeye then saved him and the Avengers and Tony. Betty Ross comes and tells them the Hulk is alive. The team then goes to the desert and tries to convince Bruce Banner to turn into the Hulk and combat Ultron. He then tells Azari to work Ultron's machine and lead him there. Bruce then chokes James when he tells him that Ultron's coming. In the battle with Ultron and the Iron Avengers he dons his father's shield.

Superhuman Physiology: James is a very powerful superhuman who possesses superhuman strength, speed, agility, reflexes, stamina, durability, etc.; all of his powers were inherited from his father, Steve Rogers.

- Superhuman Durability: James possesses far more durability than a normal human.
- Superhuman Agility: James possesses far more agility than a normal human.

Trivia[]

The Next Avengers universe was brought into comic canon during Brian Michael Bendis' initial Heroic Age Avengers arc. In it, James' last name is never mentioned, and context clues imply he is the son of James Barnes and Natalia Romanoff. With Bucky being the official Captain America at the time, as well as the only one to have romantic involvement with the Black Widow.
