Jean Grey, also known as Phoenix, is a level-5 mutant, who possesses telepathic and telekinetic powers.

Jean is also the girlfriend of Scott Summers.

When Apocalypse was defeated, Charles Xavier saw a vision of Jean being possessed by a powerful force.

Powers and Abilities

Powers

• Mutant Physiology: Jean is an extremely powerful mutant, who possesses telepathic and telekinetic powers. When accessing the power of the Phoenix Force, Jean is also the second the most powerful mutant on the entire planet, second only to Apocalypse.
  • Telepathy: Jean can telepathically communicate with other individuals.
  • Mnemokinesis: Jean can manipulate the memories of other individuals. She can erase, restore or even implant false memories into the minds of other individuals.
  • Telekinesis: Jean can telekinetically move objects or other individuals, without physically touching them.
  • Flight: Due to Jean's telekinesis, she is able to fly, by levitating her own body.
  • Astral Projection: Jean can project her astral spirit from her own body.

Phoenix

• Phoenix Force: The Phoenix Force is the source of all of Jean's devastating and destructive powers.
  • Pyrogenesis: Jean can generate, create and project fire from her entire body.
  • Pyrokinesis: Jean can manipulate fire, for example, her flames can even take the form of an actual phoenix and she can make it seem like it's actually alive.
  • Flight: Due to Jean's telekinesis, she is able to fly, by levitating her own body.

Weaknesses

• Limitations: Although Jean is incredibly powerful, she does have her limits. According to and confirmed by David Haller, although she is more powerful than a normal mutant, Jean's telekinetic powers are still not enough to break her out of the centre of a mountain, albeit when she is not accessing the power of the Phoenix Force. Even with the power of the Phoenix Force, Jean is still unable to match Apocalypse in terms of raw power.
