En Sabah Nur, also known as Apocalypse, is a class 5 mutant who possesses superhuman strength, durability, reflexes, an accelerated healing factor, immortality, longevity, telekinesis and flyrogenesis. He is also the world's first mutant in existence.
Throughout En Sabah Nur's life, he has been worshiped as a god by humans.
Biography[]
X-Men: Days of Future Past[]
In Ancient Egypt, thousands of people bowed down to En Sabah Nur and chanted his name as he constructed a Pyramid using his abilities. In the background, the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse observe his power.
Ages of Apocalypse[]
At some point, En Sabah Nur brought about the sinking of Atlantis.[1]
X-Men: Apocalypse Prologue[]
In 3600 BC, people were bowing and chanting the name of En Sabah Nur. En Sabah Nur was brought into a pyramid by his four horsemen - Death, War, Famine and Pestilence. A process was set for En Sabah Nur to transfer his consciousness into a younger body. This new host body had an accelerated healing factor that allow him to heal injuries very quickly and age more slowly.
As the sun hit the top of the pyramid, the process began. However, rebels who had grown tired of living under Apocalypse's rule hurled pillars to kill En Sabah Nur and the horsemen. The Horsemen fought back but the pillars began to destroy the pyramid killing them all except Death. Death in her last moments managed to form a barrier so that En Sabah Nur would not be crushed. The process was complete, but En Sabah Nur remained trapped under the rubble for thousands of years, dormant, never to be awakened.
Character traits[]
Because of En Sabah Nur's "godly" status in the world, he had developed a god-complex, having been worshiped as a deity over the years in various places. En Sabah Nur was born with numerous superhuman abilities, so much so that he proclaims himself as not only a god, but a "savior" of sorts in order to establish a new world in the wake of the previous one.
En Sabah Nur was a ruthless and manipulative mutant, as such he uses his manipulative streak to recruit many followers, including new ones. Apocalypse has also been shown to be very callous, shown when he looks down at a defeated Angel and only says that Angel was "useless". While he is tremendously powerful, he is also shown to be psychopathic, having no care for the consequences of his actions, and exposes one's weakness on a psychological level for his own personal gains. Apocalypse even has no qualms about killing other mutants who would dare defy him.
Also, En Sabah Nur was a pure megalomaniac as he was proving to be relentless about his goal to take over the world and to restore the mutants to rule the world as they did on his times, as well as he is immensely loved the fanning of his people as they saw him as sort of a god - incidentally confusing himself with God itself.

- Mutant Physiology: Apocalypse is an extremely powerful mutant who possesses superhuman strength, durability, reflexes, an accelerated healing factor, immortality, longevity, telekinesis, flyrogenesis, etc. As the first mutant in existence; Apocalypse is also one of the most powerful beings on the entire planet.
- Superhuman Strength: Apocalypse is much stronger than normal humans and most other mutants.
- Superhuman Durability: Apocalypse is far more durable than normal humans and most other mutants.
- Superhuman Reflexes: Apocalypse's reflexes are much faster than normal humans and most other mutants.
- Accelerated Perception: Apocalypse can process information, and think much faster than normal humans and most other mutants.
- Accelerated Healing Factor: Apocalypse's metabolism allowed him to heal much faster, more extensively, and efficiently than normal humans and most other mutants.
- Immortality: Due to Apocalypse's accelerated healing factor; he is immortal; as he cannot be killed by natural means or most other supernatural means.
- Superhuman Longevity: Due to Apocalypse's accelerated healing factor; he does not visibly age beyond his prime. Despite being over 5,000 years old, he still maintains the physical appearance of a man in his prime.
- Essence Transference: With this ritual, Apocalypse can transfer his life essence from one body to the other, though he requires an ancient Egyptian altar for this ritual. Apocalypse was a being who has accumulated power over the centuries by possessing bodies via an Essence Transference Ritual. Doing so involved a technologically advanced pyramid that when exposed to sunlight, filled with golden liquid that made bluish energy radiate from Apocalypses old body and was then transferred into a new one, which caused the new body to be morphed into a younger version of himself.
- Power Absorption: Every time Apocalypse's essence enters a new host body, not only does he retain all of his previous powers, but also gains new powers as well; which he assimilates into his life essence. As a result; he has the capabilities which make him appear to be a Dark Messiah.
- Power Augmentation: Apocalypse can amplify the powers of other mutants.
- Power Bestowal: Apocalypse is able to bestow other mutants with other unique powers.
- Telekinesis: Apocalypse can telekinetically move objects or other individuals without physically touching them. He was able to construct a massive pyramid with minor hand gestures.
- Mind Control: Apocalypse is able to manipulate the minds of other individuals; to get them to do what he wants them to do.
- Flyrogenesis: Apocalypse can generate, create and project force fields around himself.
- Portal Generation: Apocalypse can generate, create and project a bright violet sphere; to teleport herself or other individuals over vast distances.

- Genius-Level Intellect: Due to En Sabah Nur's extended life-span and having over 5,000 years of experience; he is a highly intelligent individual. En Sabah Nur is also the most intelligent individual on the entire planet.

- Master Manipulator: Apocalypse is highly skilled in the art of manipulation.
- Master Leader: En Sabah Nur is a very capable leader; he had led his original horseman throughout several battles.
Weaknesses[]
- Limited Flyrogenesis: Although Apocalypse's force fields are incredibly powerful, they do have there limits.
- Limited Durability: Although Apocalypse was incredibly durable, he does have his limits; objects, weapons or other mutants with enough force can injure him.
- Limited Healing Factor: Although Apocalypse can heal incredibly fast, he does have his limits.
