History
Eddie Brock is humiliated by Peter Parker after he reveals that Eddie sold Peter's photos as his own. After being fired, he goes to a church to pray for revenge. At the same place and time, Peter removes the symbiote from himself, and it bonds with Eddie. As Venom, he drags Spider-Man into a trap with Sandman, using Mary Jane as bait; however, Harry Osborn appears in Green Goblin regalia to fight alongside him, and the two defeat the Sandman. Brock dies attempting to merge with the symbiote after it is removed a second time. Spider-Man throws one of Osborn's grenades at it and he is caught in the explosion.
Relationships
Brock was the former boyfriend of Gwen Stacy, but lost her to Spider-Man/Peter Parker.
