The Daily Bugle, simply known as the Bugle, is a newspaper company that is located in New York City.

History[]

Spider-Man[]

The Daily Bugle has been considered the best newspaper company in the city of Manhattan, New York, having published numerous stories about events. The recent story published from the Daily Bugle was Oscorp Industries losing a contract to Quest Aerospace (which led to the Green Goblin to attacking the HQs of Quest Aerospace after his alter, Norman read the article). When the superhero, Spider-Man began fighting crime in New York, the Bugle's editor in chief, J. Jonah Jameson began a smear campaign aganist the wall-crawling vigilante, believing he was a menace to the city, though assistant editor, Robbie Robertson considered Spider-Man to be a hero. The Bugle published a "REWARD" prize for anyone to deliver photos of Spider-Man to the Bugle.

Recently graduated Midtown High student, Peter Parker (who is secretly Spider-Man), took interest in photography and began taking photos of himself fighting crime in New York and delivered them to the Daily Bugle. Jameson hired Peter as a freelance photographer and continued his smear campaign aganist Spider-Man, much to Peter's chagrin.

Following the attack in Times Square where the Green Goblin killed the Oscorp board members, the Bugle published another article; "TIMES SCARE: Spider-Man, Green Goblin Attack City", the Green Goblin ambushed Jameson at the Bugle, looking for the person who takes photos of Spider-Man. When Spider-Man confronted the Goblin, Jameson said he knew the two were in this together, only for Spider-Man to web up Jameson's mouth in annoyance. The Goblin gased Spider-Man into unconsciousness and carried him away to talk. After the attack, Jameson put a warrant for Spider-Man's arrest in the new article.

Spider-Man 2[]

Two years later, Peter was still working for the Daily Bugle, but was facing financial difficulties due to him struggling to balance his double life as both Spider-Man and Peter Parker. Jameson rejected the new photos Peter took from Central Park after Peter thought the Bugle could sell new photos, rather than photos of Spider-Man. After being given a lecture from Jameson, Peter handed him a photo of Spider-Man, which Jameson used for page one. The Daily Bugle heard about Otto Octavius' accident with a fusion reactor machine and gave him the name; "Doctor Octopus", due to four tentacles fused to him. Peter got increasingly annoyed by the Bugle's smear campaign aganist his alter-ego, even after seeing another article of him and Doctor Octopus robbing a bank. This stressed Peter out so much that he lost his powers and gave up being Spider-Man.

After Peter quit being Spider-Man, he threw his costume in a trash bin, where it was soon found and brought to the Daily Bugle by a garbage man. Jameson temporaily wore the suit in his office, which confused Robbie Robertson, Betty Brant, and Ted Hoffman before the Bugle published an article with the title, "Spider-Man No More". Weeks pass with the crime rate increasing to high levels and the Bugle published an article about the crime going up, and Jameson started to blame himself for driving Spider-Man away. When Peter's powers returned, he donned his costume after stealing it from the Bugle, which made Jameson return to hating Spider-Man again and publish an article with the title "HE'S BACK. Masked Menace Returns".

Spider-Man 3[]

One year later, the Daily Bugle hired another photographer, the prideful and womanising Eddie Brock, who became Peter's rival after Jameson chose Eddie's photo of Peter's featuring Spider-Man saving Gwen Stacy from falling to her death at a crane accident. Jameson offered a desk job if either Peter or Eddie got a photo of Spider-Man. The Bugle published an article featuring Spider-Man (wearing a black costume) robbing a bank, Eddie got the desk job, only for Peter (who was possessed by the symbiote) to reveal that Eddie forged the photo using Peter's old photos. Jameson, enraged of what he discovered and realizing that Eddie was nothing but a narssicist, fired him and printed out a retraction for the first time in twenty years. The new article humilated Eddie to the point that he bonded with the same symbiote to become Venom, after Peter rejected it.
