- "So that's what it does."
- ―Phil Coulson[src]
After Loki escaped from his cell and trapped Thor in his place, Phil Coulson arrived on the scene and threatened Loki with the Revenge, a weapon designed from a disassembled Destroyer, telling him to step away from the controls. Loki stabbed Coulson through trickery. Dying on the ground, Coulson shot Loki with the Revenge with one shot and realised what this gun does.
During S.H.I.E.L.D.'s assault on the Cybertek facility where the Deathlok Soldiers were planned to be produced, Coulson faced off against John Garrett, now super-powered thanks to GH.325, the Centipede Serum and his previous Project Deathlok implants. Nick Fury arrived to assist, and delivered Coulson's Revenge to Coulson who used it against the Centipede Soldiers that were protecting John Garrett.
Coulson tells Fitz to get him "Bambino" to use against the Kree, Vin-Tak.
