History[]

Captain America: The Winter Soldier[]

Steve Rogers visited the museum to check out the exhibit. Inside it, there were several panels displaying his life before the Project Rebirth program, his friendship with Bucky Barnes, his great deeds in World War II, his uniform, the Howling Commandos, his motorcycle and a video of his old love, Peggy Carter, in which she commemorated Steve on his actions as Cap.

Steve later broke into the exhibit to take a variation of his old WWII uniform to battle the Winter Soldier and stop Project Insight.

Later, disguised in civilian clothing, Bucky resurfaced at the Smithsonian, viewing the Captain America exhibition. He read a memorial dedicated in his honor, A Fallen Comrade. Finally coming to decipher his true identity, Bucky realized that Steve had confessed the truth.
